How We Work
Every engagement follows the same discipline, regardless of size.
We built our process around one idea: the way a project is run matters as much as what gets built. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Discovery & Scoping
Before any technical work begins, we understand the actual business problem, not just the feature request. This means a structured conversation (or a short paid discovery engagement for larger projects) covering your current systems, constraints, and what success actually looks like.
A written scope document: what's being built, what it won't include, and how success will be measured. No verbal agreements, no assumptions.
Proposal & Alignment
You receive a clear proposal: scope, timeline, milestones, and pricing. For fixed-scope work, the price is fixed. For ongoing or exploratory work, we're upfront about how it's structured and billed.
A signed Statement of Work (SOW) before any build work starts.
Build, in Milestones
Work is broken into clear milestones with defined deliverables, not a single black-box delivery at the end. You see progress, not just a final reveal.
Regular check-ins and milestone deliverables you can review as we go.
Documentation & Handover
Every engagement ends with proper documentation: how the system works, how to maintain it, and how to extend it. You own what we build. Nothing is designed to lock you into needing us indefinitely.
Technical documentation and a clean handover, whether or not you continue working with us.
Ongoing Support (Optional)
Some clients want an ongoing relationship: maintenance, iteration, or a retainer for continued development. Others take what we've built and run with it independently. Both are fine; the handover in step 4 is designed to make either path work.
What This Means for You
No surprises.
You know the scope, timeline, and cost before work begins.
No lock-in.
Documentation and clean handover are part of every engagement, not an upsell.
No black boxes.
You see progress in milestones, not just a final delivery.
We're an early-stage company, building our track record one engagement at a time, but the discipline behind how we work doesn't change with our size.
Ready When You Are
Let's talk about what your business actually needs.
A short conversation, no obligation: we'll tell you honestly whether custom software is even the right answer.
